DTAT: Doing Tabernacle as a Team!
Rod ShimabukuroExodus 40:34Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
The children of Israel had completed the work of the Tabernacle as the Lord commanded. Moses inspected the people’s work and God commanded the Tabernacle to be set up.
Moses began setting up the Tabernacle as the Lord commanded him. Once Moses finished the work…the cloud covering and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. What a sight, what a presence to behold.
All that work, all the resources, all the people…doing Tabernacle as a Team! Why?
Why are we called to “Do TABERNACLE as a Team?” The life application for me from this passage is that I must do all that I do - for the glory of God! Not to [PRIMARILY] do tasks for God, not to reach the world for Jesus, not to teach the Bible, be a good husband or father…!
All of this is a part of God’s design for me - but I must primarily seek Him first, HIs righteousness, to know God and live for His glory - not mine, not for other people, not for the church or for money.
I need to adjust my motives because sometimes they are weak and wrong. I do things for my glory, attention or to gain something for me! O GOD! FORGIVE ME!
Daddy God! You are sooooooooo very merciful! But please, please help me to be repentant, to be cleansed of my unrighteous motives. Thank You for Your great grace and love! Thank You for calling me to adjust my motives for Your glory and purposes! God - one day at a time - please keep adjusting, convicting and anointing me - for Your Glory!
