Walk the Talk (Be The Example)
Richard Waialeale1 Timothy 4:12b & 16
12b, set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
The effectiveness of my preaching is better caught then taught. Scripture is saying the more I walk the less I have to talk. My life should be a living example to those I want to influence. People would rather see a sermon in action then hear one, meaning I must walk the talk and be the living example of what I preach.
The application of what I say and do is most important. I can self-examine through constant alertness, both in my life and doctrine. Both belongs together. The right doctrine and living a godly life is of the highest value. It cannot be one or the other. Both has to work hand in hand.
Father thank you for your direction and guidance in this life. My prayer is to be a living example of the Word You place inside. I sew it close to my heart and apply these things in my life. To Jesus I Pray these things. Amen.
