God is Bigger
Marsha Kochi2 Kings 6:14-17
"He sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the LORD opened the servant's eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
Although the servant saw the chariots and horses surrounding the city, Elisha was not afraid, God is bigger. Elisha not only knew the battle plans of Aram, but he kept the King of Israel well informed. Elisha prayed that the army would be blinded and they were. Elisha was then able to lead the blinded Aramean army into Samaria.
What we see with our human eyes, is not all that God can do. We may see just a tiny bit of what He is able to do, what wisdom He has, and His reasoning of why He does what He does. God knows exactly what I need, all the time. My flesh, my humanness, can never quite believe that He will do what He needs to, through me, that He would even use me, is astounding. But He never fails to be there for me, and always, just in time.
Thank You Lord for being bigger than my circumstance, bigger than my nervousness, bigger that the spiritual battles and much much bigger than my warped thinking. Thank You for always being there for me, and for the people that you lead me to minister to. Thank You that You redeem it always, for Your Glory!
