Overcoming Temptation

"For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted."
Jesus is able to help us when we are tempted. He knows what we are going through as He himself has gone through it. We must remain faithful to God and in turn God will remain faithful to us.
I am encouraged to remain faithful to God no matter how much I may be tempted not to. Jesus told the Devil as He was being tempted in the wilderness, "It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4.
Temptation will always be part of my life yet out of faithfulness to Him, I will overcome it through His Holy Spirit who strengthens me. I am strengthened by reading and applying His Word everyday.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for reminding me that although I am tempted in this world I am able to overcome it because Jesus lives in me. I will always remain faithful to You. The devil will try to offer me great things but it comes with a price that I am not willing to pay. I will only serve You Father, for You alone are worthy. Strengthen me daily with your Holy Spirit and teach me your word that I will remain faithful to You. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
