Life is draining. God is KING!

Rod Shimabukuro

Scripture

[20:1]Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. [2]And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, Revelation 20:1-2

Observation

One of the key characters in the vision of Revelation is satan. Satan’s end is near in the closing chapters. All it will take is one angel with a chain and key, symbolic of the authority of Heaven’s rule.

There is much to be understood and considered interpreting the eschatology of the millennium. But one thing is certain. Satan will be bound, eventually defeated. God wins and He allows us His children, to experience eternal victory and life!

Application

Sometimes I get so tired of fighting. Fighting my flesh-sin nature, the spiritual enemy. God uses people to shape my character, adverse situations to keep me humble and dependent on Him. Life can be very draining. But keeping the end of time in mind, I am sooooooooo encouraged and strengthened through Christ! God wins, through the work of Jesus and the Holy Spirit!

The breathtaking thing about the end times, the current tough times in life, is that God invites me to participate till the end. Whether my end means loving not my life even to death or Jesus return, God’s invitation is an eternity of pleasure, fun, victory, joy - indescribable.

Choosing to live different today means choosing to think on who my God IS! And it doesn’t hurt at all to think on the awesome honor to be in relationship with my God who was, is and will always be…CHAMPION and KING!

Prayer

I love You and give You my heart, life, time, family, finances, material possessions…

You own it all - I surrender all to THEE! You know how weak I am and can be. Life can be draining - but You are my KING!
