Blessed are the Peacemakers

Calvin Kochi

Scripture

23And He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. Mark 3:23-24

Observation

As I read these verses I cannot help but to be challenged as to how judgmental we are and how ignorant we are of the devices of the devil. We are our worst enemies. Its like the devil is laughing at us, because we are fighting with each other while he is watching us destroying each other.

Application

One of the weapons that the devil uses against us is division. If he can get us in to disagreement’s he has won the battle. I have seen nations destroyed, company split apart, businesses fail, marriages that fail and head to divorce, families split, and best friend now enemies, If that is not enough you will find relationships that are devastated and dead bodies scattered all over the place. So the question to me is what am I doing to prevent it from happening. There is God given weapons that are available to us as Christians that are mighty in God. we can find it in 2 Corinthian 10:4, we can allow the Holy Spirit to bind us in unity, and we can become peacemakers.

Prayer

Thank you Lord for reminding me that we are not at war with each other, but have a real adversary that is there to bring division in nations, churches, businesses, and families. Help me to br a peacemaker, and a a person tha seek the unity of the Spirit.
